Redmon Basket Collecting
Confessions from an accidental basket collector
My Collection
My collection started when I stumbled upon my first Redmon basket at the Goodwill. It was in rough shape and smelled a bit like gasoline so I suspect it had just had a long stint in someone's garage, but there was still something about the woven pattern and generally retro-looking design. I was delighted to learn that it was made right in Indiana (where I happen to live as well). I don't recall what I paid for it, but I think I've gotten far more enjoyment out of it than I expected. I now have about 16 in my collection - representing a variety of sizes and patterns.
